When Rylee, a friendly, talkative, outgoing two-year-old, was enrolled in therapy at the RiteCare Clinic, her speech was very difficult to understand. Rylee understood what was said to her, spoke quickly in sentences, and tried hard to communicate her ideas. She was frustrated and upset when most listeners did not understand her. Rylee had started to say, “Oh, never mind!” when asked to repeat. It was the perfect time to start speech therapy!
Rylee and her mother, Renee worked hard at home and in the Clinic to correct many speech sounds in words, sentences, and in conversational speech. By age four, Rylee’s speech was easily understood. She graduated from speech therapy with normal articulation skills and above-average expressive language. Rylee has so much to say, and she says it so well!
